ODWYER ANVIL 20 KG
FARRIERS ANVIL.
Thee are four models in the O’Dwyer Anvil range, all of which are cast using a 4140 steel under strict quality controls, each anvil is hardness tested using the Brinell Hardness testing scale, with each anvil required to be within Brinell (BHN) 400-450 hardness.
Each Anvil also has a square Hardie Hole for anvil tools like heel cutters or steel cutters that you can forge with your hammer, and a round hole that is designed for your Pritchel to punch through nail holes.
The 20kg anvil features
• Our most portable anvil is used mainly for cold shoe shaping, however you can also shape shoes hot on this anvil
• turning cogs for shaping of the heels either inwards or outwards. These Turning cogs are orientated to suit Right handed Farriers
• Rounded anvil heels for which enables the shoe to be spread out, with minimal indentation to the inside of the shoe.
• 1” Hardie Hole and round pritchel hold are ideally located near the heel of the anvil.
O'Dwyer anvils are available in three different sizes: 20 kg. (44lbs), 40 kg. (88 lbs) and 95 kg. (209 lbs).
